Our History

In Prakasam District, Kurichedu Mandal, about 10 kilometers from Kurichedu, at the junction of the villages Bayyavaram, Peddavaram, and Devanakonda, stands the sacred hill shrine.

To the east, Lord Sri Sri Sri Subrahmanya Swamy, along with Valli and Devasena, protects the region as the Kshetrapalaka (guardian deity).
To the west, Sri Sri Sri Veera Anjaneya Swamy stands as the supreme commander and protector.
To the north, Ganga Amma Thalli shines in her divine form of Shakti.

With these three divine deities and their sub-shrines, this sacred place has been flourishing for centuries. At the peak of this majestic hill resides the self-manifested (Swayambhu) deity, Sri Sri Sri Yogananda Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, radiating divine grace.

This sacred hill is revered as “Sri Konda Singarakonda.”

Every year in this sacred temple, the Tirunalla Mahotsavam (annual festival) is traditionally celebrated on the auspicious day of Phalguna Shuddha Dashami. However, apart from this festival day, daily rituals such as Dhupa, Deepa, and Naivedyam, as well as celebrations on other auspicious occasions, are not regularly conducted.

Since the pathway with steps leading up the hill is not convenient for devotees, many pilgrims complete their vows and prayers at the foot of the hill itself without being able to reach the temple on the hilltop.

In order to ensure that the centuries-old glory and significance of this sacred kshetra do not fade away, and to develop the temple with proper facilities so that devotees may fully receive the divine blessings of the Lord, this great initiative has been undertaken by the hereditary Peethadhipathi (spiritual head), Sriman Seshabhattar Guruji.
